Easter Basket Inspiration 2021 Edition

Well here we are again! I can’t believe it’s been a year that we’ve been in this pandemic. Time sure has flown by. It feels like not much has changed, but so much has! Easter is right around the corner and I’m excited to share my yearly Easter Basket Inspiration Blog Post with all of you!

Most of these items I bought myself from some of my favorite small shops online. I find it extremely heart warming knowing that the money I spent on these items are going towards supporting small shops and their families. I did however partner with a few brands who did gift me some items. I am forever grateful to be able to work with these brands. I always want to be very transparent when I am sharing product recommendations, which ones are gifted and which ones I purchased myself. I never want to mislead anyone or make anyone feel like they need to purchase something because I am sharing it. This post is purely for inspiration and ideas for things you could possibly fill your kiddos baskets with! I hope you enjoy this post, and as always thanks for stopping by! I will be tagging all of items from the small shops below that I purchased from, along with the items that were gifted.

Hoppy Easter + shopping my friends!

Easter Basket Inspiration – Quarentine Edition

Given the current state of the world at the moment Easter looks a little different this year, but you know what that’s okay because we are all in this together. I improvised and used a basket that I already had, threw in a few items I already had that I was holding onto for a special occasion, and thank goodness for the Target Dollar Spot. (Yes I picked these few items up while doing my “essential grocery shopping” so sue me… lol) So not everything is brand new but it’s the thought that counts.

I am beyond grateful for the amazing small shops that collaborated with me to help create this beautiful basket for my daughter this year. Most of these small shops are offering expedited shipping, and contactless curbside pickups. If you order today, or tomorrow you should still be able to get your items in time for Easter. If you’re still looking to fill your kiddo’s baskets with some fun items check out these shops below! I highly recommend them.

Remember, it’s not what’s in the basket that matters the most, it’s the love that you put into it. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Easter.

The Mask Trend, What’s the hype all about? How important is it? TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask Review

So what’s the hype all about you ask? Detoxifying? Smoothing? Firming? Anti-Aging? So many to choose from… so which one is the right one for you? Well it depends on what type of skin you have, and what you want to achieve. Working in the beauty industry for the past 10 years has really opened up my eyes as to why it is so important to know these two simple things. This diagnosing process allows much ease as to which products will work best for you, and achieve the results you’re aiming for.  With skincare being as influential as it is now more than ever, taking care of your skin must be pretty important you’d think? Well it is! Making sure you’re taking care of your skin and having a simple regimen is the first step to assuring your skin looks and feels the way you want it to. With all that being said I am going to take you through my personal experience with TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask and why it works for me! (I absolutely love that this company was founded by a mama of two kiddos this makes me love the brand even more, I am all about mom’s supporting other working mom’s and shopping small!)

IMG_8375Disclosure: This product was sent to me in trade for a review, all opinions and thoughts are my own, no links are affiliate links.

The first thing that actually attracted me to this brand was the fact that they use organic materials. I was also surprised to find out they are also vegan, and cruelty free! No colorants, no artificial fragrance, parabens or harmful chemicals. They are all hand-crafted, and this specific mask is blended with: Calcium Bentonite Clay, White Kaolin Clay, Rose Kaolin Clay, Moroccan Red Clay, Moroccan Rhassoul Clay, Dead Sea Clay, Epsom Salt, White Willow Bark Extract. They’ve already sold me right there, now for the real test, trying the product out and see how it reacts with my skin type! I tend to run on the combo/oily side depending on my diet, and the season. So now that it is getting into those warmer months I am definitely going to run oily, which is the perfect time to be trying out a detoxifying mask. I do also tend to get mild breakouts when I am under a ton of stress or for other female reasons. So I am all about a mask that will pull out all of the impurities and toxins underlying deep in my skin! Another huge bonus this mask only runs you at $19.00 so it is very cost effective. If measured out properly (you mix equal parts of the powdered mask and water or their mixing solution) you can get up to 20 uses out of it! Speaking of measuring for only $13.00 they also sell an all natural bamboo mixing bowl, measuring spoon and a bamboo brush applicator.

Let’s put it to the test! After trying this mask out for the past 4 weeks, I can honestly say I am truly pleased with the results! They recommend using this mask 2-5 times per week (depending on your skin, and your current regimen). I chose to use it 3 times per week at night before I went to sleep. When you’re sleeping is when your skin is healing the most so I felt that using a detoxifying mask at night before I applied my night cream was most beneficial for my skin. Every single time after removing the mask I noticed my pores were minimized and my skin just felt so fresh and pure. If you have an oiler skin type using a detoxifying or purifying mask even 2-3 times a week can help with the excessive oil production in your skin! Even if you’re on the dryer side this mask could still benefit you using it 1-2 times per week to balance you’re overall PH balance. TruSelf Organics also now offers their new smoothing mask for someone with a very dry skin type or even just combination skin! I am happy to say this mask will continue to have a home with me and a place in my skincare regimen!
